So, what does a typical day in the life of an Intern entail?
Our internship is based in Sophia-Antipolis, the business hub of the Côte d’Azur. This provides the opportunity of a lifetime, as interns generally live in prestigious towns, such as Antibes, Nice and Cannes. A typical day could include meeting suppliers to discuss and negotiate rates, as well as viewing their yacht portfolio, to viewing yachts to generate new business. For example, Izzy and Ben recently visited LADY LUCK, a fantastic San Lorenzo 100, accommodating up to 10 guests in 5 luxurious cabins. Our interns have also met clients and recently experienced a days luxury yacht charter to St Tropez, including a visit to the world famous Club 55.
Depending on your dates, Interns will have the opportunity to visit famous boat shows, such as the Antibes Boat Show (April) and the Monaco Yacht Show (September)
Boatbookings.com is the leading online luxury yacht chartering company. We receive enquiries via our website and then we delegate the leads between our permanent brokers and interns. This empowers our interns, giving them great responsibility, as Krisha recently showed with the sale of a day charter from Cannes on Mistral 55, worth €16,000. Interns will therefore develop great negotiation skills and learn business French. Moreover, interns will learn to understand the use of SEO [Search Engine Optimisation] and the effect of technology and social networks for internet based companies.
