This year’s Electric & hybrid Marine World Expo saw the launch of the SWATH Electra Glide Limousine Tender. This revolutionary vessel is the world’s first Carbon Neutral Solar Hybrid SuperYacht Tender that combines both the environmental benefits of solar electric sustainability with the no sea sickness comfort of an anti-roll SWATH vessel.
This boat, built by Nedship, is not short on power and is powered by twin 300hp Regen Electric outboards the Tender’s maximum speed a very impressive 45 knots. Her 20kw a day solar panels produce up to 7Mws annually, which at a speed of 16 knots is enough energy to travel more than 1,000 carbon neutral nautical miles, pretty impressive!

Lampedusa is the largest island in the Italian Pelagie chain and belongs to the Sicilian province of Agrigento, which also includes the smaller islands of Linosa and Lampione The island is found at the most southernmost part of Italy and is actually closer to Tunisia (70 miles) than it is to Sicily (109 miles). Historically, Lampedusa was used as a landing point and maritime base for the Greeks and the Romans on their conquests. Today, you will find agriculture, fishing and tourism as the islands main industries. Thanks to its geographical position, Lampedusa has hot dry summers and very little rain, with average temperatures of around 26 degrees between June and September.

She is a very fast yacht, which can reach speeds of up to 50 knots, thanks to a gas turbine, making it possible to go from Monaco to St Tropez in an hour! She can provide accommodation for up to 10 guests in 4 modern cabins, as well as beautiful decks and living areas. She is a great choice for a day charter to the exclusive Pampelonne Beach and would not look out of place amongst the Super Yachts.
