News and Reviews at The Palma Superyacht Show 2014!

From one yacht show to another this week… today sees the beginning of the Superyacht show in Palma, Mallorca. A brokerage and charter show, there’s several well-known charter boats on display with some old favourites and some new to the charter market in Spain. This is only the second edition of the superyacht show, and it has returned following the success of the Palma Superyacht Brokerage and Charter Show in May 2013. This show will continue to only exhibit yachts of an impressive 24 metres and above.

First up is a new addition to the charter market in Spain, POWDERMONKEY. Our team on the French Riviera were gutted to see her leave her prime position in Antibes last year, having received a Spanish charter license, heading to Palma for the upcoming season. This luxury crewed motor yacht offers unrivalled value for money, accommodating up to 10 guests at a very competitive €49,000 per week high season. She’s a fun family boat with spacious cabins, classic interior, fun splashes of colour throughout and an extensive water sports inventory. POWDERMONKEY has had multiple technical and visual upgrades meaning she’s in pristine condition ready for this summer.

Next up is BENITA BLUE from Evolution Yachts in Australia. She combines the weird and wonderful to create extensive space of a much larger yacht. Her sleek, outlandish and bright exterior colouring is contrasted by the quiet cool of her neutral interior. Whilst the owners of BENITA BLUE are keen to move on before the summer season arrives, we’re confident she’ll be back on the charter market in time for high season in the Mediterranean. Again she’s a perfect family boat with two doubles, two twins and a convertible office for an extra two berths.

The MYBA Charter Show 2014 in Genoa – The Hottest in the Port!

The MYBA Charter Show is one like no other, the key yachts on the charter market for the upcoming season are exhibited for brokers worldwide to see.  The show is famed for signalling the start of the Mediterranean season, with many of the exhibited yachts zipping away from the show and welcoming clients on board. Genoa is a show where every aspect of the yacht is exhibited, offering the chance to show off the most professional captains, talented chefs and the craziest new water toys. Everything kicks off today, and we have a couple of favourites in the port.

ALEXANDRAV

ALEXANDRA V is a stunning Princess 95, she returns for the 2014 charter season following an extensive re-fit leaving her in “like-new” condition. She offers huge exterior and interior volume with her large flybridge and full-beam master cabin, her layout is perfect for families and friends alike.

Captain Jason Maxwell is an experienced professional and as such will show you the hottest ports and the most beautiful anchorages of the Mediterranean and beyond! The chef on board has a large portfolio of specialities, and loves cooking the finest food and loves tailoring menus to specific dietary requirements and prepares only organic, locally-sourced delights.

NASSIMACOMB1

Our other favourite is NASSIMA! She’s an absolutely stunning 2012 creation from Acico Yachts. She offers a huge master suite on the top deck, providing incredible views when sleeping at anchor. As well as this her incredibly equipped sundeck provides the ultimate in luxury hangouts. NASSIMA truly provides the perfect combination modern design, unparalleled luxury and contemporary class. Enjoy wellness onboard this stunning yacht with her fully equipped gymnasium, designed by a professional trainer and stocked with cutting edge equipment.

The Antibes Yacht Show 2014 – Riva Steals the Show

The Antibes Yacht Show kicked off yesterday on the very sunny French Riviera. The show this year sees the attendance of some our favourites – from DEVOCEAN to AVELLA and more! The highlight of our show was finally getting to see the very exciting and highly reputable Riva Domino 86 RHINO. We saw RHINO around the French Riviera last summer, ever-popular on charter she regularly frequented the hottest spots of Cannes, Monaco and St Tropez.

Spanish sundowners last night provided excellent refreshment on a beautiful evening in Port Vauban, Antibes. The boat itself feels large beyond its size with huge outside space at the rear, flybridge and dining on the bow. She’s highly specced with beautiful tan leather upholsteries outside, sumptuous tweed soft furnishings in the cabins and a full-beam master suite which offers space otherwise never found on yachts of this size.

RHINO is the most stylish yacht around. Her calendar for this season is starting to fill so we highly recommend ceasing this opportunity to charter this one-of-a-kind yacht! Contact our team in Cannes today for more information.

Kevin’s Favourites at the Singapore Yacht Show 2014

The yachting industry in Asia is bigger than ever and well on its way to booming. With ever more yacht enthusiasts looking to explore the Far East in search of something new and exciting, more of the world’s most impressive yachts are making their way east. This was abundantly evident at the recent Singapore Yacht Show last week. Whilst not yet as big as some of the yacht shows in Monaco and Antibes for example, the Singapore Yacht Show is a great place to get aboard some truly amazing yachts with many yachts offering guided tours; giving you the chance to see what super yachts are all about.

In our preview blog a couple of weeks ago, CLOUD 9 was touted as one of the potential highlights of the show. Boatbooking’s charter expert in Asia, Kevin, was lucky enough to look around her and reports that she most certainly lives up to the billing. Massive amounts of light streams into an indulgently spacious yacht whilst the garage stocks every water toy known to man.

Kevin has also been raving about KERI LEE III. The owner’s wife is an interior designer and, judging from the finish found on board, she won’t be out of pocket any time soon. Better resembling a grand mansion than a yacht, KERI LEE III is decorated impeccably with original artwork, French antiques as well as glorious marble linings and the most inviting of salons.

lounge

No expense has been spared in order to create a yacht which is quintessentially luxurious throughout. A magnificent spiral staircase connects the three stunning interior levels. The sky lounge is nothing short of jaw dropping, featuring everything that you could possibly want for the perfect day.

Dine al fresco, lounge in the sun, cool off in front of a film in the jacuzzi and then clear everything away, turn the music up and dance the night away. KERI LEE III has it all and sums up what luxury yachting is all about.
