Asia makes up two thirds of the world’s oceans, with impressive cruising scenery and such biodiverse waters to explore. However, bareboat chartering is limited to a few destinations where it is legal, with marinas and safe sailing areas to support bareboat fleets.

The main bareboat destination in the Indian Ocean is in the Seychelles, where there is a good selection of monohull sailboats and catamarans.

The jewel in the crown of Southeast Asia is Phuket, Thailand, which now has a well-established bareboat charter industry. Several Lagoon 450 catamarans have been introduced to the market in the last couple of years, and more new charter yachts are scheduled to arrive soon.

Venturing further afield in Asia, you will find the beautiful lagoons and islands of the South Pacific, with smaller bareboat fleets for your charters in Tahiti and New Caledonia.
