Where Should You Be Yachting This Summer?
It might seem miles away, but now that we’re in November you must be dreaming ahead to your summer holiday. The place to be in summer 2015? The Mediterranean, of course!
We’ve got our eye on the south of France and Greek islands as always, but more and more people are heading to new destinations such as Croatia, so we’ve highlighted some of these countries’ best points for you.
Plus, our team visited the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show last week; read on to find out more about FLIBS!
Think Cannes, Monaco, St Tropez - what do those places bring to mind? That’s right, the luxurious Côte d’Azur. The south of France is the place to see and be seen, but you can also escape the hustle and bustle of the tourists if you wish. Anchors away and off to your next destination!
Our Perfect Picks
HIGH ENERGY
Sunseeker 28m
HIGH ENERGY’s design is cutting edge and has set the trend for yachts to follow. She has the high quality that you would generally expect from a 50m yacht as opposed to one approaching 30m, and space and comfort are maximized. She has luxurious entertaining areas throughout, including an impressive flybridge, and an attentive crew for a personal charter experience.
AURELIA
Heesen 37m
The quality of the build, amenities, fixtures and fittings on board AURELIA is second to none. Her design is completely unique, with nothing comparable to her on the Riviera. She has an unbeatable captain and crew, making the yacht adaptable for any desires or requirements and despite her sophisticated design there are plenty of elements of fun for children on board.
Going for Greece
Fancy an adventure? Spanning over 2,000 islands and more than 14,000 km of sprawling coastline, we challenge you to try and see all of Greece! Each group of islands has their own culture, history and traditions just waiting for you, although wherever your yacht takes you, you are sure to be welcomed by clear blue waters and sunny skies.
DALOLI is the Greek Islands party boat! Built by the renowned Heesen shipyard and fully refitted in 2012, her top speed of 40 knots (cruising speed of 30knots) renders her one of the fastest yachts of her size in the world! Captain Vassilis and his super crew of 7 are known to cater for their guests’ every need and they excel at organising parties.
OURANOS
Tecnomar 45
This may be the best mega yacht in East Med! OURANOS was built in 2012, with 3 decks to explore and a crew of 9, which includes 2 professional chefs to cater for you. OURANOS’ quality is exemplified by the fact that she is already booked for the majority of summer 2015, so if you want your chance to enjoy this eye-catching yacht, act fast!
Calling Croatia
Croatia is becoming more and more popular by the day, as more and more are headed to Eastern Europe for their yacht charters. Travel along the Adriatic coast in crystal clear waters that contrast beautifully with the orange architecture of the country. With UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Sibenik, Dubrovnik, Split and Trogir to name a few, you will experience the history, culture and traditions that make Croatia what it is today.
As you cruise along Croatia’s sprawling coastline, you will find over a thousand islands to explore at your free will. Each island has its own unique charm, they offer a mixture of sandy and pebble beaches, hidden coves, medieval towns and olive groves to name a few of the things you may discover.
Only The Best for You!
Last week saw the Ft Lauderdale International Boat Show take over the city’s waterways, spanning over 7 different locations. Members of our team were in Fort Lauderdale to inspect the yachts currently on the charter market so that they know them inside when it comes to sending you your charter proposal. See our full FLIBS report.
Plus, this week, one of our brokers has attended the BVI Charter Yacht Show examining the top crewed catamarans available, so stay tuned for an update on what Ben saw at the show.
