Greece is one of the most popular summer yachting destinations in the Mediterranean – given how much of the country is made up of so many islands ranging in sizes, the best way to travel from one island to another is by yacht. Located in the Aegean and Ionian Seas, the Greek island clusters are just waiting to be explored! This week we’re focusing on the Cyclades and Dodecanese, so why not join us?
The name Cyclades means circular and refers to this group of islands forming a ring around the sacred island of Delos. With bright yet serene crystal blue waters, the Cyclades Islands are a true paradise! Of the 39 islands in the chain, 24 are inhabited, including the hotspot Mykonos, which can’t be missed, but the less developed islands are quaint and quiet, a perfect getaway.
Sail the Cyclades on SERENITY
SERENITY is a brand new Lagoon 52 and is currently the only catamaran in the whole of the eastern Mediterranean that can accommodate 12 guests in 6 cabins, with 5 doubles and one bunk cabin. With a permanent base in Athens, SERENITY is available for charters starting and ending all over Greece. She offers airy interiors with light oak paneling, a spacious flybridge and a great crew to look after you en route!
Do the Dodecanese!
Made up of 12 main islands and 150 much smaller islands, only 26 of which are inhabited. With rustic and rugged landscapes, the Dodecanese Islands are less touristy than the likes of the Cyclades, although islands such as Kos and Rhodes are still popular destinations. Rhodes entices visitors with its history, which has left medieval fortifications dotted around the island, as well as its beautiful beaches, including St Paul’s beach where you will find an enormous natural swimming pool.
Cruise the Dodecanese on TROPICANA
Fully rebuilt in 2013, TROPICANA is a 32 metre build by Admiral. She features immaculate interiors, with 3 double cabins, 1 twin and 1 convertible cabin. She has a superb flybridge from which you can enjoy the views that the Mediterranean has to offer and a sizeable collection of water toys to make a splash! Fly in to Athens and climb aboard for your Greek Island adventure!
