About the Monaco Grand Prix

The Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 has achieved recognition as one of the World's truly great auto races. With the winding roads, cliffs, Mediterranean Sea and Monaco high rises as a backdrop, this auto race is truly an amazing event, which is why so many companies choose it to entertain and reward their best clients and employees.

The race runs over two days every year in late May and is one of the main highlights on the Formula One Circuit. Saturday is qualifying day, where the starting positions are determined in reverse order of the driver's lap times. Sunday is the actual race, which starts at 2 pm (with the first trial lap at 1:30), and runs for 78 laps.

While the auto race is the main attraction, throughout the weekend there are hundreds of other related events and parties that draw some of the world's most recognisable people - rock stars, supermodels, royalty and hundreds of celebrities. Many combine their trip with a visit to the Cannes Film Festival which occurs simultaneously and is only a short boat ride away.

Chartering a Yacht for the Monaco Grand Prix

Yachting is a major event in and of itself at the Monaco Grand Prix. The Port of Monaco each year is filled with perhaps the world's greatest collection of superyachts.

There are two ways to be involved with a yacht at the Monaco Grand Prix. The first is to rent a berth in the port, which is very expensive (€30,000 or more when we last checked, with prices going up every year) and extremely hard to find. Through our extensive connections and knowledge of Monaco, we can help you acquire a berth for the Race if it's required.

However, many people choose a second alternative, anchoring just outside the port, which is free and every bit as much of a great party scene. You won't have a perfect view of the race, however, so most of our clients book a lunch and viewing spot in one of the many high-rises around Monaco, and are brought in by tender before the race starts.
