About Trogir
The enchanting Dalmatian city of Trogir is situated on the eastern coastline of the Adriatic Sea, just 6 kilometers from Split Airport. The heart of Trogir is a small islet lying beneath the hills of the Croatian mainland and adjacent to the Island of Ciovo - a perfect charter destination and port.
Trogir’s fascinating history includes the influence of Ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, the Saracens, the Venetians, the Hapsburg Empire, Napoleonic France, and others. These influences can be seen throughout the city, including in the cathedrals, municipal buildings, and towers, which together are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Trogir is known for its winding medieval streets and lively portside life. Because of its proximity to Split, and an abundance of charter yachts of all types, Trogir is an excellent place to start a charter and an unmissable stop on any Croatian yachting itinerary.

Things to do in Trogir

Trogir is best explored by walking the esplanade and alleyways, having a nice meal or two, and climbing the towers to see the magnificent views. Here are some of the specific activities we recommend.
Climb the Bell Tower of The Cathedral of St. Lawrence
The Cathedral of St. Lawrence dates to the 13th century. Its architecture includes Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. A climb to the top of the bell tower gives you a gorgeous view of the island and its environs.

Kamerlengo Fortress
At the opposite end of the island stands the Kamerlengo Fortress. It was completed in 1437 to house the Venetian Army that was occupying Croatia during this period. It is fairly well-preserved and the views from the top are superb! An interesting note, similar to Dubrovnik, the island used to be surrounded by ramparts, with this fortress at one end. They were removed in the 19th Century under French/Napoleonic rule when the threat of attack to the city was diminished.
City Loggia
Next to St Sebastian Church, you'll find the Loggia, which dates to the 14th century and used to be the city's courthouse.
The Rector’s Palace
This old Palace, adjacent to the Cathedral, currently serves as the City Hall. It dates to the 1200s and was restored with Rainassaince techniques in the late 19th century. You can explore the Atrium and Gothic Staircase.
Trogir Marinas
The ACI marina lies on the northern side of Èiovo Island, between Trogir Bridge and Cape Čubrijan, facing the town of Trogir. The marina has 180 berths and 60 boat places on land; the berths have water and power supply.
Baotic Marina is just west of the island of Trogir and just 8 minutes from the Split Airport. It offers 400 moorings for boats up to 60 meters. It also offers full provisioning, showers, and two bars/restaurants to relax at before or after your charter. Glory Bar has a pool and a nice high-end beach bar vibe.
