What an incredible stay aboard Dolly! We all adored the sweet crew, especially our children. They were always ready to take them out for a ride on the couch, make them pasta and special treats and play little games. Kostas, Nikos and Vas, you are all the BEST! Insieme - Every other year, my wife and our adult children, their spouses, and our only grandchild take an extended vacation abroad. This year’s vacation was undoubtedly our best vacation ever! We took an eight-day excursion with Captain Stipe and his crew on the Insieme yacht (sailing from Split, through the Croatian Islands to Dubrovnik) that we will cherish for the rest of our lives!
From our past adventures and cruises, we are accustomed to the unique and magical experience that sailing, learning new cultures, and seeing majestic vistas bring. So, for us the thing made our trip so remarkable was Captain Stipe and his team. From the moment we connected, Stipe and his team (who all speak English) were very engaged in providing us with thoughtful information and options to optimize our immersion of history, culture, sightseeing, adventure, shopping, and dinning. Stipe and crew guided us to (and through the towns and islands) Split, Hvar, Mlina, Korcula, Mijet, Mlini, and Dubronik. The quality of the food and the cabin services on the yacht were simply outstanding. More importantly, the warmth, sincerity, and character of the staff was a delight to be around and made the crew seem as though they are our extended family. Lastly, the boat itself was also a gem; modern, spacious, well equipped for comfort and water sports, well maintained and clean. This is a crew and a yacht our family will vacation with again.
Boatbookings – If you are looking to cruise European waterways, there are literally hundreds of yachts and boats to rent. Sorting through all the vessels, their amenities, accommodations, capacities, crew etc. can be daunting. Ben and his team at Boatbookings were exceptional to work with. They were very helpful in finding a yacht that was perfect for our family and the experience that we were looking for. Beyond the boat itself, the team at Boatbookings knows the towns, sites, restaurants, monuments, etc. surrounding the Adriatic Sea and was intimate in planning our vacation schedule and even booked our restaurant reservations ahead of our trip. Thank you Boatbookings for guiding us to SILENT DREAM - we all had a great time on the charter. The crew was great and catered to our every whim, let alone need. Captain Michel is excellent. He prioritized safety and made sure that each port-of-call afforded the opportunity for us to do what we wanted, whether we wanted to go ashore (Madelena and Bonifacio), or play in the water by swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, or using the water scooter. There were also blow up float and the tender, which we put to good use.
Bianca, the stew and deckhand, was like a goat. She went everywhere and did everything that Captain Michel needed. She was very hard working and very kind. She served all of the meals, kept the staterooms and boat clean, did laundry, whatever we needed.
Luca, was a five star Chef who prepared excellent meals throughout and catered to the wants of each of us. The food was superb. Not just well prepared but the plating was excellent also, so it looked as good as it tasted.
The Silent Dream was very comfortable. The cabins were very good with plenty of room and bathroom accommodations. The main cabin required you to go down three stairs to get to the bathroom but that was not a problem. The showers were surprisingly large. There was plenty of privacy. With three decks including the staterooms, main deck, bow, fly deck and indoor space the boat had a lot of room for all of us. We made good use of the music system.
While the cruising speed may be slower than other boats, it was plenty fast for us. We were able to go everywhere we wanted to go in ample time. We all agreed we would charter the Silent Dream again if it makes sense for us.
I would suggest marketing the crew, the price of the boat (no fuel costs) and its environmental attributes. HAve no hesitation in working with Boatbookings.
