Day 2: Lipari to Salina
Today make the short trip over to Salina, the Aeolian’s second largest island. In contrast to the other Aeolian Islands that have a more exposed volcanic landscape, Salina has a beautiful, lush and green environment scattered with wild flowers – perfect for hiking and exploring! In the evening go to the main hub of the island, Santa Marina Salina, and enjoy a fantastic meal in the harbour at Ristorante Port Bello where you can sit on the balcony with a glass of Prosecco and watch the world go by. Stay in the port here overnight.
Day 3: Salina to Panarea
On Day 3, head over from Salina to Panarea, which is a simple gem of an Aeolian Island. With white washed villages, winding streets, and no cars allowed on the island, it is the perfect place to relax. Head to the beautiful bay of Cala Junco and get practicing your water sports in the crystal clear waters here, then explore the quiet coves on the untouched and uninhabited south and west side of the island. Panarea is home to one of Italy’s best nightclubs; Hotel Raya, which is only open from mid-July – August every year, but comes alive when it does! Have dinner here and then follow on to a night of exotic cocktails and lively music when you step down on to the lower dance floor. Dress to impress and party the night away with the most exclusive VIP’s.

On your fourth day exploring the breath-taking Aeolian Islands, sail over to Stromboli, home to one of the three active volcanoes in Italy and name the “Lighthouse of the Mediterranean”. This captivating island is for many the highlight of the Aeolian Islands, and is now holiday home to the designers Dolce & Gabbana. The northeastern area of the island is where you can swim at the famous picture-perfect black beaches set below the spectacular volcano. Then you can later visit Il Nuovo Incontro on the west side of the island in the town of Ginostra, which is a wonderful restaurant serving up the freshest seafood with some spectacular sea views. Spend the night at port here.
Day 5: Stromboli to Filicudi and Alicudi
Today you will sail over to the west side of the archipelago to visit Filicudi and Alicudi. These islands are appealing to many due to their off-the-beaten-track atmosphere, rugged coastlines and glistening blue waters. Visit the Grotta del Bue Marino in Filicudi for a day of simple tranquillity discovering the beautiful caves and bright blue waters. Then head over to Alicudi, where you can hike up to the summit of this extinct volcano to see some of the most spectacular views of the six other Aeolian Islands stretching out into the distant blue.

Later, head to the northern side of the island to Gelso, a small fishing village, where you can relax on the volcanic beaches, kayak in the bay and you might even catch sight of some dolphins! This evening visit Trattoria Maniaci Pino, which is a fantastic traditional Sicilian restaurant serving up the freshest seafood and pasta dishes. Stay here at anchor overnight before your return to Milazzo tomorrow.
