Day 1: Milazzo to Lipari
Start your charter in Milazzo, a large port town on the northeastern coast of Sicily. Embark on your bareboat sailing yacht which will be your home for the next week! Set sail over to the Aeolian Islands, an archipelago formed of dramatic landscapes jutting out of the glistening sea to create a dynamic, natural paradise. Your first stop is Lipari, the gateway to the Aeolians and the largest of the seven islands. Wander around Lipari town, with its charming houses and bustling restaurants. Then make your way up the coast to Coral beach, Cannetto. Cuddle up on the bow of your yacht with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. Bliss!

Day 2: Lipari to Salina
Today make the short trip over to Salina, the Aeolian’s second-largest island. In contrast to the other Aeolian Islands that have a more exposed volcanic landscape, Salina has a beautiful, green environment scattered with wildflowers – perfect for hiking and exploring! In the evening head straight to Santa Marina Salina, and enjoy a freshly prepared Pasta alla Norma in the harbour at Ristorante Port Bello!

Day 3: Salina to Panarea
On Day 3, head over from Salina to Panarea, which is one of the gems of the Aeolian Islands. With whitewashed villages, winding cobbled streets, and no cars allowed on the island, it is the perfect place to relax with your guests. Head to the beautiful bay of Cala Junco where you can drop anchor and prepare a mouthwatering lunch of Gamberi Rossi overlooking the spectacular Sicilian scenery. Panarea is home to one of Italy’s best nightclubs; Hotel Raya, which is only open from mid-July – August every year, but comes alive when it does. Get ready to dance the night away!

Day 4: Panarea to Stromboli
On Day 4, get ready to see one of the most infamous islands of the Aeolian. Stromboli, home to one of the three active volcanoes in Italy and name the “Lighthouse of the Mediterranean”. This captivating island is for many the highlight of the Aeolian Islands. The northeastern area of the island is where you can swim at the famous picture-perfect black beaches set below the spectacular volcano.

Day 5: Stromboli to Filicudi and Alicudi
Today you will sail over to the west side of the archipelago to visit Filicudi and Alicudi. These islands are appealing to many due to their off-the-beaten-track atmosphere, rugged coastlines, and clear blue waters. Visit the Grotta del Bue Marino in Filicudi for a day of simple tranquillity discovering the beautiful caves and bright blue waters. Then head over to Alicudi, where you can hike up to the summit of this extinct volcano to see some of the most spectacular views of the six other Aeolian Islands stretching out into the distant blue.

Day 6: Alicudi to Vulcano
On Day 6 of your Sicily bareboat charter, make your way over to Vulcano, one of the most famous Aeolian Islands due to its active and impressive volcano. Here you can hike to the summit of the volcano and wander over to the two mud baths Acqua del Bagno and Acqua Bollente. Later, head to the northern side of the island to Gelso, a small fishing village, where you can relax on the volcanic beaches, kayak in the bay and you might even catch sight of some dolphins! This evening visit Trattoria Maniaci Pino, which is a fantastic traditional Sicilian restaurant serving up the freshest seafood and pasta dishes. Stay here at anchor overnight before your return to Milazzo tomorrow.
