The British Virgin Islands, or BVI, is in many ways a yachting Mecca. It has all of the ingredients for the perfect yachting holiday – consistent winds (usually 15-20 knots in Winter, 25 –30 during the “Christmas Winds”), gorgeous islands, destinations varying from posh hotels to deserted sandy beaches, shipwrecks, excellent snorkelling and diving, beach bars, restaurants and night life, and a pace and charm that perfectly fits yachting.
