Cannes: Port Canto
If your charter begins in Port Pierre Canto Cannes, meet the captain and crew at the Capitainerie building, at the 'touch and go' quay. How to get there: Port Pierre Canto is situated to the far East of the bay of Cannes. It is a five-minute drive from the InterContinental Carlton Hotel (which is situated in the middle of the Croisette). Walking directions from there are as follows:
- Head southeast on Boulevard de la Croisette toward Rue du Canada for 550 meters
- Take the crosswalk for 60 meters
- Slight right onto Boulevard de la Croisette
Cannes: Le Vieux Port
The Old Port of Cannes is next to the conference centre (Palais des Festivals) at the other end of the Croisette. Head to the Vieux Port entrance closest to the Palais. Follow the port around to the right-hand side, until you reach the Jetée Albert Edouard. At the end of this jetty is a floating pontoon - you must walk to the very end - the meeting point there is called the Ponton D'Accueil. See the video below for a walk-through.
Antibes: Port Vauban
If you're meeting your yacht in the main port of Antibes, Port Vauban, you should head for the fuel station situated right next to the Capitainerie building, a circular glass building, located in one of the parking lots to the right of Avenue de Verdun outside of the old city walls. Port Vauban is a large port, one of the largest in the Mediterranean in fact, so don't worry if you get lost! Your broker will have given you the captain's mobile number so always best to give him a call for directions.
Monaco: Port Hercule Monte Carlo
Port Hercule is the larger of the two ports in Monaco. The other is named the Port of Fontvieille which is located on the other side of the Rocher (where the Palace is situated). Port Hercule is located in the heart of Monte Carlo, and the meeting point is situated on a quay on the right-hand side of the port. if you are standing on the Route de la Piscine facing towards the sea, head towards the pink buildings on the right-hand side. The meeting point at this port is at 10 Quai Antoine 1er, right by one of the buildings.
Much like the other ports along the French Riviera, the embarkation point is where the fuel station is located and Port Hercule is no exception. If unsure, give your captain a call.
Juan Les Pins - Cap d'Antibes: Port Gallice
If you're staying at the Eden Roc Hotel or Hotel Belles Rive, you will likely be embarking at Port Gallice, just outside fo the centre of Juan Les Pins and one the smaller Antibes ports. If you are driving towards the Cap D'Antibes, head past the Hotel Belles Rives and the port is the next turning on the right-hand side. Upon entering the port, head to the right as you enter the car park. The meeting point at this port is by the gas station, near one of the floating quays.
Nice: Port Lympia
If you are embarking in Nice for your French Riviera Charter, you will embark at Port Lympia just on the outskirts of the old town of Nice. This port is easily accessed on foot, if you are staying in the centre of Nice, or is well connected for car drop-offs. If you're driving:
- Take the Promenade des Anglais/M6098 and Tunnel André Liautaud to Quai des Deux Emmanuels for (5.6 km)
- Continue on Quai des Deux Emmanuels to your destination 2 min (550 m)
- Arrive at Port Lympia, where the meeting point is at the Quai De La Douane (Customs Quay)
- Walk towards the fuel station
St Tropez: Port De St Tropez
If you're heading off for a day's cruising around St Tropez, the meeting point is at the Capitainerie building, right in the centre of the old port St Tropez. Fortunately, the Capitainerie in this port is distinguishable with its unique circular structure, made of old cobblestones. You cannot miss it! If you're staying in the old town of St Tropez, it is an easy walk through the town, or there are car parks for drivers. Please call your captain 20 minutes before you plan to be at the port, such that he can gain authority from the port to enter and collect you and your guests.
Golfe-Juan: Port Camille Rayon
If you are embarking in the port of Golfe-Juan, the meeting point is at the Capitainerie building of Port Camille Rayon, the larger of the two ports. You can park very close by and walk to the meeting point, which is next to the superyachts on the quay, not the outer wall of the marina. See our video below for a walk-through.
