Its natural harbor was once frequented by the ancient Greeks, Carthaginians and Romans, but became a key target for Saracen pirate raids in the 18th century, when it was largely destroyed.
Today, it is a thriving town and close to excellent beaches, including plage de lido. You can get taken into the beach by your crew from your yacht, and spend the day working on your tan whilst playing with friends and family. Saunter around the cobbled streets until a restaurant captures your eye, then enjoy a rustic and hearty meal of Corsican cuisine. If being a beachbum doesn't appeal to you, fear not as there are mountains and endless activities to enjoy!
