Day 1: Pointe à Pitre
Pointe à Pitre is the starting point of all Guadeloupe charters. It is a growing, international airport so ideal for people flying in from all over the world - from JFK to Paris to Miami, there are regular, inexpensive flights. Before you embark your yacht, we would recommend you visit the Cascade aux Ecrevisses, a natural, breath-taking waterfall and ideal for a quick swim.
Day 2: Sainte-Anne and Marie Galante
Boatbookings recommends that today you head to Sainte-Anne, moor out here and then use the tender to transport to one of the many beach bars here! Later, head south to one of the five archipelago islands, spend the night at the Marie Galante Pointe du Port de Grande Bourg where you can see ancient sugar plantations, white beaches and some of the Caribbean's most undiscovered islands. Please note: Whilst navigating, please be aware of the many buoys and lobster pots that can cause issues with navigation. Be sure to read the charts carefully before anchoring!
Day 3: Marie Galante
Spend the morning scuba diving and snorkelling around the coral of Marie Galante - some of the best watersports the world has to offer. Give yourself time to make the most of what this Caribbean bay has to offer. Enjoy the amazing beaches, the freshest exotic fruits you and sit back and relax.
Day 4: Les Saintes
Today set sail west to the Archipelago of Les Saintes. This island has some of the best architecture, scenery and nature in the whole of the Caribbean. Be sure to hire a scooter or a paddle board to explore these islands authentically. We would recommend that you have an overnight stop here.
Day 5: Basse-Terre
There are a couple of options which you can take for today: For a relaxed sail, head past the Trois Rivieres and take in the scenery provided by the national heritage site that is Basse-Terre. Or, for those who are more adventurous, you can head to Bouillante which is the home of Caribbean scubadiving and even includes the dive site named after the infamous Jaques Cousteau!
Day 6: Marine Bas du Fort
Just 10 minutes away from, Pointe à Pitre, the capital, which is full of restaurants and bars. Its Creole influences make this city more distinct from the rest of the island as it has a bit more of an urban feel. Head back to the marina to make sure you are there in time for departure the next day.
