Kea has been blessed with a number of beautiful beaches, almost all of them in sheltered coves. We've plotted each of these beaches in the map above so take your pick, and top up your tan whilst sipping cool and refreshing beverages. Enjoy!Otzias. When a beach is popular with the locals you know it is a gem. Set in a round, sandy bay and overlooked by a couple of tavernas, Otzias offers great snorkelling so get your goggles out and prepare to discover an underwater paradise.
Gialiskari. The most popular beach on Kea, why? Because you can hang out and people watching with a chilled out beach party scene at the Blue Bay café/bar. Here you can experience a chilled yet vibrant beach party which is what holidays are all about!
Korissia. A long sandy beach and, complete with a dive centre, one of the best places to swim on the north side of the island.
Pisses. On the site of the ruins of the ancient city of Poiessa, Lonely Island’s best beach on the island is in a valley of fruit trees, cypress trees and flowers. Facing the setting sun, this is the best place for an early evening swim.
Koundouros. Where the millionaires choose to build their mansions, this cluster of small sandy beaches with crystal clear, blue waters features stunning views.
Kampi. Kampi is a small cove ending in the beautiful, remote beach of Liparo. The rocky shelf is good for snorkelling and just above, the Kampi Taverna is a great family-run restaurant with stunning sea views.
Karthea and Mikres Poles. Not for the faint-hearted, a small hike is required but these two fantastic beaches, in between the ruins of the ancient city of Karthea, are certainly worth the effort and are great for snorkelling.
Orkos. Remote and usually empty, with dreamy, clear blue waters, this secluded beach is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Escape the chaos of the crowded beaches and steal some time for yourself with this hidden treasure!
Spathi. In the famous honey-making region of Kea, Spathi, similar to Orkos, is a beautiful, remote beach with clear blue waters. Go on the weekdays and chances are good you can spend most of the day alone.
