Boatbookings.com Announces Record  Bookings in May

Boatbookings.com, a leader in online boat chartering, announced today that it has reached the "one booking per day" milestone in May. Significant bookings during the Cannes Film Festival, end of season bookings in the Caribbean, and a healthy start to the summer "Day Boat" season all helped achieve this  milestone.

"We are very pleased with the results from May. Our business model is based upon being able to meet significant demand worldwide, and we were able to handle the demand with a high level of customer service. We had invested early in the year to hire and train great charter representatives and implement our efficient client management system, and they all came together beautifully in May" noted Tom Virden, Founder and Managing Director of Boatbookings.com. "I'm particularly pleased that we were able to manage different parts of our business simultaneously - closing  bareboat charters in the Caribbean, Day Boats in Ibiza, Corporate Events in Barcelona and Static Charters in Cannes. We are also happy to have received our first booking in the newly opened USA East Coast".

Boatbookings.com enhanced its Day Charter offering in top locations such as Ibiza, Palma, and the French Riviera, and it paid off with several bookings in each of these areas. "Customers are telling us that they want boats for a day or two while on their holidays. Many traditional charter companies do not offer these charters, but by finding specialised suppliers and implementing a low cost business model, we can provide great day charters, at excellent prices, and still make a profit" continued Mr. Virden. Boatbookings.com also saw significant early demand for the Cricket World Cup 2007 in the West Indies, due to a targeted marketing campaign.
