Boatbookings.com has succesful Rugby World Cup Charter Program
Boatbookings.com, a world leader in online yacht charter, today announced the success of its Rugby World Cup Yacht Charter program. Boatbookings placed over 100 charterers onto yachts during the Rugby World Cup matches in Marseille, plus several additional cruise and entertainment yachts. "We knew over a year ago that the Rugby World Cup could be a great yachting event for Corporate Entertainment, Accommodation, and Day Charters between matches. We sourced a variety of boats in Marseille for all uses and marketed this online to the Rugby community." Tom Virden, Managing Director of Boatbookings.com, said. "We are thrilled with the results, especially in the last few days before the matches when the English, South Africans and Australians were scrambling for places to stay during the Quarter Finals".
Boatbookings.com utilises the internet as the perfect medium to dissemenate information about charter and accommodation opportunities at Events such as the Rugby World Cup where demand changes dramatically based on who wins and loses games. "It was amazing how fast the demand picked up when it was clear that England had a good chance of playing in Marseille" Virden continued, "We just added a line to our pages that said 'we still have boats for you to stay on', and the enquires flocked in".
Boatbookings.com is active providing yachts for Events, Entertainment and Accommodation during most worldwide events near ports. The success of the Rugby World Cup program follows similar results during the Cricket World Cup and America's Cup races in Valencia Spain.
