Boatbookings.com Has Highly Successful Summer Charter Season

  Boatbookings.com, a world leader in online yacht charter, has just completed its best summer charter season in its history. The company doubled its charter business from the previous year across virtually every category.

Managing Director of Boatbookings.com, Tom Virden, says, "We are thrilled with the performance of the company in the crucial Summer charter season. We doubled the number of charters completed compared to last year, putting several thousand happy charterers on yachts.  We saw excellent demand in the South of France, the Balearic Islands and Turkey - predominantly for the ever popular Gulets. We also saw significant growth in Italy and Greece as well as more far flung destinations such as Thailand.  We also saw our Caribbean business continue strongly throughout the summer season, as people are booking early for Christmas and Easter this year”.

  The company was particularly successful moving 'up-market', completing more charters in the 20 to 35+ meter range, although bareboat sailboats and day charters remained in high demand everywhere. "Yacht charter is a very diverse business - there is no "standard" charter because everyone has their own special preferences and needs.  Having knowledge of thousands of boats and crews through our worldwide team allows us to discuss each customer's requirements and personally tailor each individual charter by recommending the right yacht and crew for them.  We believe this is the reason for our extremely high customer satisfaction rate, which runs in the very high 90% range," Virden says.  "We're continuing to add quality boats to our website on a daily basis and building our expertise in all areas."
